About the Countdown Timer
Set hours, minutes and seconds, press start, and the timer counts down to zero. You can pause and resume it or reset it any time. The preset chips fill in common times — such as green, white and black tea steeping — so you do not have to type them.
For a bit of fun there is an optional raptor that shows up when the countdown hits zero.
Frequently asked questions
How do I set a countdown timer online?
Enter the hours, minutes and seconds you want, or tap a preset, then press Start. The timer counts down live on the page.
How long should I steep tea?
A common guide is about 2 minutes for green tea, 3 for white tea and 4 for black tea. The preset buttons use those times, but adjust to taste.
Do I need to sign up?
No. The timer is free and runs entirely in your browser.
