The Boats are BACK!!!

So the Indonesian boat racing videos are back on my feed and I need everyone to understand what we're dealing with

context for the uninitiated: insane wooden longboats, 20 dudes paddling in perfect chaos, paddles strapped sounding like a thousand angry weed whackers, boat going full physics-defying angles, spray everywhere, someone's uncle screaming pure joy off camera

these vanished for MONTHS. no warning. algorithm just yeeted them into the void and I felt a vibes deficit I couldn't even explain, scrolling just felt flatter

then today, mid doom-scroll, brain going 900 directions — BOOM, there it is. instant serotonin, instant focus, all 47 tabs in my brain closed themselves for a second

and then the EDM kicked in. some heavy pounding trance beat over the boat footage and something in my brain just surrendered. time stopped mattering. I watched 11 in a row in a full drop-heavy hypnotic state, bass hitting on every wave, no thoughts just boats and beat and spray, snapped out of it 25 minutes later like I'd been in a different dimension. no I will not be taking questions

and the detail that makes it perfect: on the front of the boat, in the middle of all that chaos, there's always one (1) kid dancing. full moves. shoulder pops, arm work, perfectly on beat with the trance banger somehow, having the time of his life on the most dangerous real estate on the entire boat while grown men behind him are losing it. zero fear, all rhythm, main character in a disaster movie he scripted himself

proposing this as an official office activity. weekly watch party, everyone votes on best boat AND best front-kid choreography, morale improves by a measurable amount, zero budget required

and then, for the full immersive experience, we recreate it in the parking lot. one (1) folding table, one (1) volunteer standing on top, several coworkers wheeling said table at high speed across the asphalt while the volunteer attempts full front-kid choreography without falling off. points awarded for style, points deducted for bailing, bonus points for anyone who finds actual EDM to play off a phone speaker mid-run

waiver required, obviously, purely for legal reasons, entirely unrelated to the fact that Steve from accounting already said he's "basically part gymnast" and that sentence alone should worry all of us

I'll bring snacks, someone else bring the spreadsheet for tracking dance scores, HR can bring the waiver
