Hot Dog Bun Almost Broke Me

So a little while back I saw a hot dog bun that came pre-cut down the top instead of the side, and I genuinely had to stop and stare at it for way longer than a normal person should. My whole brain just short-circuited. Side cut is the way, that's just how it's always been, that's the rule, and suddenly here's this bun, already sliced by the factory apparently, just doing whatever it wants.

I don't even know why it got to me this much. It's not like it changes the hot dog experience that much, but something about it just felt wrong on a fundamental level, like someone rewrote a rule I didn't know I had. Anyway I've been thinking about this on and off ever since, and it finally felt like time to share.
